Tunes Tuesday – Playlist: Angry

by | Oct 7, 2025 | mythoughts | 0 comments

We talked about how playlists are a huge benefit that we’ve acquired from the modern music industry. I want to start a little series about some of the playlists I use regularly. While a majority are based off my raw emotions, some are based off the mood I want to set for whatever I mat be doing, such as my workout adrenaline playlist I’ve discussed before.

Today though, lets talk about my current round of music I have for my ANGRY playlist.

Why and what I use it for

Angry is a blanket term for the feelings I’m typically having when i utilize this playlist. Rage and anger are key components, but when I find myself in a position in the day where I feel my emotions get high and need to bring them down. Too strong of an emotional playlist in the other direction will sometimes cause me to have an unhealthy breakdown because the change can be too jarring and music plays a huge roll in my emotional regulation

Here’s a look at my current Angry Playlist.

*-Donates songs that always stay on the list.

Disturbed – Down with the Sickness

Rob Zombie – Dragula

Limp Bizkit – My Generation*

Limp Bizkit – My Way

Puddle of Mudd – Control

Joyner Lucas – I Love

Logic – Homicide (feat Eminem)

Linkin Park – By Myself

Bad Omens – Just Pretend

Marylin Manson – The Beautiful People*

Eminem – Lucky You (feat Joyner Lucas)

Eminem – The Way I Am*

When I cover rap in my Eras series, I’ll dive more into why Eminem is easily an emotional release for me in one way or another.

Over the years, songs and artists you could almost guarantee to find on an angry playlist have made their way on and off of it. Ramstein, Metallica, GWAR, ect. But at some point having angry music just to have angry music on the list began to not do the job I want

Moving forward as I post my playlists, I may actually post links to Spotify versions. If this is something anyone would be interested in, let me know. Also if you have suggestions for songs for my angry playlist, email or comment your suggestions!
