Today (Actually yesterday, it’s been a busy weekend!) I started my second round of 75 Hard. For those initiated in 75 hard, I am NOT moving on to phase 1, I want to make sure I can do this again and it wasn’t a fluke. If you are wanting to know more about the different phases of 75 Hard, CLICK HERE
GOALS
So with the last round I had goals I worked on for myself. Nothing I publicly talked about until almost the end when I realized there was a possibility that I may break 300 LBS. Something i learned last round was that if i pay attention to myself and listen to my body, a weight that would make me feel good about myself became something I should devote the energy too. 75 Hard is a mental challenge to help you create healthy habits for yourself. So on top of the daily tasks I am focused on, I have added some other goals.
1 – Website : I’m always trying to work on this site and make it better, but I’m going to try and make at least 1 major change to move towards a better layout and vison for what I want this site to be
2 – Writing : I desperately want to finish writing a book. I’ve gotten close several times and fell out foro ne reason or another. Does this mean I plan on writing a book in 75 day? HAHAH.. no. But I am going to devote myself to trying and get 1k-2k words a week done. The only downside to this is I will be scraping my Monday Music posts. I plan on 1 or two more to wrap them up, but a majority of my weekly writing will be devoted to creative writing.
3 – Weight Loss: I wasn’t actually expecting much of any weight loss last round. I watched my 75 Hard partner Jessica, get in some amazing shape, but she’s always been super athletic. I on the other hand am a blob. I accept that. I haven’t had a good metabolism since high school. Fortunately I did all the right things for those 2 and a half months and got down to a weight i hadn’t seen in over a decade. So I’ve set a goal of 275. I want to try and reach 245 by my birthday. Which would be almost 100 pounds in about a year. For now though, a little bit at a time.
4 – Mental Health : I’ve worked hard on improving my mental health this year and while, even today, I have my struggles, 75 Hard has been great for my mental processing of things in my life, both past and present. It’s given me different outlooks and opinions on those around me and of myself. I look forward to continuing this trend.
MOVING FORWARD
Starting next Saturday, I will be posting my weekly updates as I did in round one. They will include word counts on what I’ve written toward creative writing, as well as weight and other progress made I’m looking forward to this adventure and apricate anyone who is along for the ride.
