75 Hard R2: Week1

Week 1 of 75 Hard Round 2 is in the books.

For some reason, I’ve felt a little more of a struggle this week. More mentally than physically. But for the most part, everything has gone good. I also missed the routine for the 3 days I was off. If (probably when lol) I do round 3, I will probably restrict it to just one day, and try and rest my body on that day as much as possible.

My Diet Changes

In round 1, My diet was simple. Low carb diet, and pop, or sugary drinks. Low carb is generally considered to be between 50-100 Grams of carbs a day. Most of the time, I didn’t go over 75. Only 2 twice did I actually approach the 100 G limit.

This time I am still keeping a lower carb count, just not generally considered low carb. I’m also going to cycle carbs and calories, as well as increasing my workout regime.

Standard day – 150-200 Carbs. 2500 Calories. Walk in morning and rotate out the same general workouts I’ve been doing for the second workout.

Higher Carb Day  – 200-300 carbs. 3200 Calories. Walk in the morning and then a more heavy intense workout for my second of the day. I’ve done some HIIT workouts in VR that I like plus I’ve signed up for a gym membership.

Lastly, I’ve allowed myself a pop or sugary drink every once in a while, but at most it’d be one a week or so. I’ve already tried drinking a Dr Pepper and it was way too much so lol I don’t see me jumping back on that.

What I’ve learned in week one is, that I probably wont hit any of those goal, and will probably stay well under them for the next 10 weeks. Either way I am excited.
