Week 9 is in the books, and only one more full week of round 2 left! Lets talk about it.
I start week 10 feeling a little defeated. My weight this morning was 300 again. I felt anger and disappointment, but then got filled with some resolve. See, I knew the holidays would be a struggle, but I kept my confidence.
The truth is really the fact that I am at 300 ONLY is a huge accomplishment considering we just got through the most food consumption heavy stretch of the calendar throughout the year. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years ended and I still weigh less than I did going into them. That’s a win, and I understand it. A year ago I would have let it eat away and cause my head to spiral. Today, I recognize that all things considered, I did something really damn good. On top of that, this week return me back to my normal schedule, and I’ll be able to get back to the hard work without the distractions of the holiday season.
DIET UPDATE
All in all I think I did really good. Maybe some higher carb days in there, and being at home more than I normally am due to the off time from work for Christmas and New Years, gave me more time where I think I may have been walking around and randomly eating shit for the sake of eating it. I didn’t gorge on anything, but I just wasn’t fully paying attention a lot of times. Today, however, i have a clearer and more structured path with a normal work and life week ahead.
WORKOUT UPDATE
I hit the gym several days but with the new year and the amount of people trying tto not let the holidays get the better of them, I feel like I got limited to a lot of just treadmill and rowing time.
However, yesterday I did some cardio burn and ran 4 different times cycling speeds on the treadmill. Legs where jelly when I was done but I felt great. Also, but resting walking heart rate is getting lower which is awesome. I need to try and incorporate this as a workout at least once a week.
As I move into round three, I am going to be much more strict and scheduled into my workout regimen, and plan specific things for every day, making sure to very the strength and cardio days.
